Refined souls can bear others\u2019 burdens with true empathy and compassion. Refined souls who have come \u201cout of great tribulation\u201d are prepared to joyfully live in God\u2019s presence forever, and \u201cGod shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.\u201d&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;I fear that too many Church members think if they are just a little tougher, they can get through any suffering on their own. This is a hard way to live. Your temporary moment of strength can never compare to the Savior\u2019s infinite supply of power to fortify your soul.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>October 2012 General Conference\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidson-law.net\/CR\/2012%20Oct%200303%20PerkinsAD%2070.pdf\">Beware Concerning Yourselves<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;<span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">While ascending the priesthood path, any boy or man can be dragged down if he fails to beware. Have you been stunned and heartbroken by the unexpected fall of an outstanding young man, newly returned missionary, respected priesthood leader, or beloved family member?&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;To stay safely on the priesthood path amid rock slides of temptation, I remind us of six fundamental principles that deepen conversion and strengthen family.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;First, praying always opens the door for divine help to \u201cconquer Satan.\u201d&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Second, studying ancient and modern scripture connects us to God.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Third, worthily participating in ordinances prepares us to take \u201cthe Holy Spirit for [our] guide.\u201d&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Fourth, showing genuine love is at the heart of personal conversion and family relations.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Choose to control anger. Family members should hear blessings from our mouths, not cursings.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Fifth, obeying the law of tithing is an essential element of faith and family unity.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;Sixth, fully living the law of chastity yields confidence to stand \u201cin the presence of God\u201d with the Holy Ghost as our \u201cconstant companion.\u201d&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.3em;\">&#8220;I invite every boy and man to stay on the priesthood path by deepening your conversion and strengthening your family. Prayers, scriptures, and ordinances deepen conversion. Love, tithing, and chastity strengthen family. Avoid tragedy by heeding spiritual \u201cBeware\u201d signs placed along our way by God and prophets.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>October 2006 General Conference\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.davidson-law.net\/CR\/2006%20Oct%200405%20PerkinsAD%2070.pdf\">\u201cThe Great and Wonderful Love\u201d<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Childlike faith in the perfect love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ will \u201cdivide asunder\u201d Satan\u2019s snares of inadequacy, imperfection, and guilt.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;God the Father is merciful and has infinite love for you despite your faults. Only the voice of Satan will cause you to feel of no value.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Refrain from repeatedly thinking or saying negative words about yourself\u2014there is a clear difference between humility and humiliation.
